Lifestyle, National,
In a partnership as obvious as caviar and Champagne, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts teams up with Aston Martin for the ultimate experience in luxury.
Hospitality remains one of the world’s rarest natural resources. It’s the invisible hand that does things for you, rather than to you. In our current glut of choices, we’re forced to be more discerning than ever about how, where and with whom we spend our time. Luckily, you can’t go wrong with lending your time to two lavish brands that do hospitality like no one else.
One year into their four-year global partnership, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Aston Martin Lagonda are thriving in their union, resulting in a new era of Waldorf Astoria Driving Experience weekends. With six sessions a year, this experience travels to luxe destinations, from Vegas to Dubai, offering 30- to 90-minute drives. A professional driving instructor guides you through bespoke routes, giving Waldorf VIPs the opportunity to really get a feel for the English charm apparent in an Aston. Slip into the sumptuous leather driver’s seat of one of the brand’s latest models, each pieced together by hand, to appreciate the old world craftsmanship befitting James Bond.
On a recent rainy weekend, Aston Martin drove into the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead, a dreamy little oasis in the middle of the tony neighborhood. Freshly rebranded, the hotel is a first of its kind in Atlanta and wears that badge of honor with pride, executing perfect luxury and hospitality in all of its amenities. With dedicated men’s and women’s heat and locker room facilities, a 60-foot indoor saline lap pool and a fitness center with a private yoga studio, the spa is exactly what you want in a relaxing refuge. In the 13 private treatment rooms, guests are treated to beautifully indulgent massages, like the 50-minute full-body signature (from $150). Executive Chef Christophe Truchet recently introduced a brunch buffet at the hotel’s Café & Bar. The Southern-inspired spread is resplendant in fare such as eggs prepared à la minute, buttermilk-battered Joyce Farms deep fried chicken, cheddar grits and bread pudding with crème anglaise and chantilly cream; plus, trays of fresh east coast oysters alongside king crab and shrimp, served with the customary accoutrements of cocktail sauce and lemon garlic aioli. The restaurant also now offers a traditional afternoon tea service ($68 per person with a glass of Champagne) including curated goodies like the namesake Waldorf Chicken Salad sandwich, mini peach cobblers and scones with clotted cream. You’ll never feel so taken care of.
After luxuriating in the Waldorf’s world-class accommodations—including plush rooms, five-star delectables and unmatched spa services—you’ll be fully prepared to weave through the streets of your host city in a high-performance ride. Slide behind the wheel of a luxury car or into a table for afternoon tea, and enjoy the singular pleasure of good hospitality. 3376 Peachtree Road NE, Buckhead, 404.995.7500
