Iconic fashion brand Steve Madden and Slutty Vegan, the popular Atlanta-based vegan restaurant chain, have made history by partnering to create a limited edition collection of crossbody bags and sneakers, inspired by Slutty Vegan’s colors, style, and of course, veganism. All of the products are PETA-certified vegan.

The Steve Madden x Slutty Vegan collection reimagines two of Madden's trendiest styles, the POSSESSION sneakers and BSETITUP crossbody bags. The original products are made with synthetic materials, while the new limited edition sneakers and bags are designed with only PETA-approved vegan fabrics, textiles, and other lining materials.
The transformed sneakers and bags reflect Slutty Vegan’s mantras, draped in the brand’s classic colors: red, white, and yellow. The new styles are given a slight variation on their original names, now called the POSESSION and BCALLINGSV, according to Slutty Vegan’s website.
The crossbody bag features separate compartments for a phone, sanitizer and lipstick, as well as the Slutty Vegan food truck emblem. The sneakers still display the well-known futuristic appearance of Steve Madden’s other POSSESSION sneaker styles, now paired with Slutty Vegan’s contemporary print style.
This collaboration is the first of its kind — a fashion designer and vegan restaurant founder have joined their “dare-to-disrupt” spirits and “bold sensibility,” to create something different, according to Slutty Vegan’s press release.
"I am thrilled that Slutty Vegan is able to partner with such an amazing company like Steve Madden," says founder and owner of Slutty Vegan, Pinky Cole, according to the restaurant’s press release. "This collaboration is bigger than just a shoe — it is about showing people that you don’t have to live inside a box. You can be disruptive and break every glass ceiling, even if it means being a burger joint that has a vegan shoe!"
Steve Madden, founded by the designer and businessman of the same name, designs shoes and fashion accessories for people of all ages. The brand is known primarily for its shoes, specializing in men and women’s shoe designs reflectant of trending styles.
Steve Madden and Pinky Cole, the founder of Slutty Vegan and a community activist, met in 2021 through the Fearless Fund, a fund that invests in women of color by financing their expanding businesses.
