Skincare Expert Casey Powell Puts Down Roots in Atlanta

By Rebecca Cha | December 16, 2019 | People

Finally, PA and cosmetic injector extraordinaire Casey Powell has put down roots in Atlanta after juggling clients on both coasts for years. Here, Powell talks about her posh, discreet office in Buckhead. 110 E. Andrews Drive NW, Ste. 216,

What’s the coolest thing about being Casey Powell? Ha! I love what I do. I have been treating for 12 years and still get excited when patients arrive. It’s very gratifying when they love what they look like when they leave my office, and they love what they look like a week, a month or a year later.

You now run offices on both coasts. What inspired you to take on such an ambitious goal? After graduate school at Cornell, I grew a patient base here for eight years before I moved to the West Coast. I wanted to learn more, improve my technique and hone skills learned from Beverly Hills injectors and skincare experts. I didn’t know if I’d love or hate living in L.A., so I came back monthly for a period of time to continue treating and keep my Atlanta patients happy.

We hear a lot about your signature combo treatments. What makes them unique? I’m all about a natural, graceful aging result. Combo treatments like Sculptra plus plasma laser, or Sculptra plus thread-lift for the face, neck or buttocks can help improve texture, lift and tighten the skin with a double whammy of collagen stimulation, with two or more modalities building, growing, improving at the same time.

Tell us about the cutting-edge Plasma Pen treatment you offer. The Plasma Pen is a laser that creates small areas of trauma where it’s applied. Neocollagenesis (making new collagen) occurs during the healing process, eliciting some of the best textural changes I’ve ever seen in my years of practice. It’s worth the five to seven days of downtime. Patients get a smoother texture, tightening of skin and pores, and significant tightening of dynamic areas such as around the eyes and mouth.

Is there a Casey Powell PA skincare line on the horizon? There just might be—stay tuned!
