Chef Leonard Yu’s Michelin-starred dining concept, Omakase Table, is getting a new home. The West Midtown institution is bringing its intimate, chef-curated culinary experience and 20-course tasting menu to Buckhead Landing, debuting a sleek, 2,000-square-foot space on Wednesday, March 12.

With origins as a nomadic pop-up, the restaurant has become a cornerstone of Atlanta’s fine dining scene, earning acclaim for its artful, inventive take on traditional omakase-style cuisine. Its ever-evolving menu showcases premium seasonal ingredients—from fresh fish sourced at Tokyo’s Toyosu Market to artisan soy sauce and Koshihikari rice.

“Omakase Table originated as a pop-up in Buckhead, so this neighborhood is where it all started—it’s very special to me,” says Yu. “The new space represents how far we’ve come.”

Each meal begins with a caviar aperitif and sparkling wine, followed by otsumami (Japanese small plates), nigiri, a hand roll and dessert. The dining experience is complemented by a full bar featuring renowned Japanese beers, wines, sake and signature cocktails, with a highly anticipated omakase cocktail pairing debuting in April.

The décor mirrors the artistry and elegance of the cuisine, featuring natural wood, muted gray hues and soft ambient lighting. The space is divided into two distinct rooms—one housing a 10-seat cocktail bar and another with seating for eight, ideal for private dining and events.

The West Midtown location will continue service through March 2 before transitioning to Neko (Japanese for “cat”), a new omakase dining concept featuring a smaller course menu, set to debut this April. Following its opening, the Buckhead location will operate Wednesday through Sunday, with seatings at 5, 5:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m., available by reservation only.

“We’re very excited about the opportunity to serve more guests in our new location and offer a bar area where we will soon introduce our omakase cocktail experience,” says general manager Jypzi Suepongsa.
