Th e 10-story hotel is full of thoughtfully curated experiences brought to life with classic Southern charm, resulting in understated luxury that relaxes while rejuvenating. Romanticism meets midcentury minimalism in Studio 11 Design’s handiwork, with the guest rooms featuring elevated design elements such as chevron-patterned wood floors and marble mosaics. Dirty Rascal, an old-school Italian American restaurant, anchors the hotel’s culinary offerings. SHOP Brisk winter mornings call for luxe, cozy pajamas, and high-end pajama brand LAKE has joined forces with famed design brand Schumacher to have us covered this year. DRINK While Chateau Elan already boasts ample picturesque settings between its stunning winery and luxurious resort, its most recent addition might be the most picture-perfect yet. Three newly bowed Wine Bungalows are private and chic, featuring sweeping views of the resort’s vineyard. Local Timberline Glamping Company built the spacious and luxurious bungalows, complete with vintage and contemporary furnishings, local artwork, vinyl music and more. Each bell-style canvas tent sits on a wooden platform to elevate it off the ground and comes equipped with temperature-controlled capabilities to accommodate guests during chilly winter weather. SPA Atlanta staple Spa at Serenbe has done it again with the unveiling of the Portal wellness retreat, an intimate extension of the ubersuccessful spa. Tucked away among acres of preserved forests and meadows, Portal is a 3,000-square-foot-plus oasis for six to 12 guests complete with a full kitchen, a living room, a dining room and six en suite bedrooms, all connected by an expansive courtyard including a relaxing hot tub. Serenbe founder and CEO Steve Nygren shares, “Portal was created to spark experiences that will help guests set intention while enjoying nature right outside of Atlanta. Portal was meticulously built for guests who appreciate elevated design while offering a quiet haven for those in need of rejuvenation.” Rebecca Cartwright of R. Cartwright Design equipped the space with gorgeous Cambria surfaces, a waterfall kitchen island and Moen fixtures. EAT Beloved Reynoldstown eatery Muchacho recently reopened its new space featuring a fresh, lively design and additional seating. The menu draws inspiration from the Golden State, bringing approachable SoCal cuisine matched with design inspiration from ’70s, ’80s and ’90s California surf and film culture to the neighborhood resto. Jessica Davis of Atelier Davis designed the space in collaboration with NO Architecture and Electric Hospitality, sourcing vintage furniture, lighting, art, collectibles and tchotchkes to achieve the retro vibe.
