Lifestyle, Feature,
Look no further than Midtown for your next staycation, where the Epicurean’s newest venture is turning Atlanta into the food, wine and lodging destination of your dreams.
Epicurean Atlanta sits in the heart of Midtown on Peachtree Street
Thanks to Atlanta’s newest hotel and dining destination, gone are the days of waiting in traffic to get to Hartsfield-Jackson. The highly anticipated Epicurean Atlanta, a member of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, brings all the perks of a great vacation right to Midtown. A stunning pool, three innovative dining concepts, incredible wines, resort-style amenities and inviting accommodations are just the start.
All three dining concepts offer delectable cocktails.
From the minute you walk into Epicurean Atlanta, the immersive experience begins. In lieu of a traditional check-in desk, guests are welcomed with a spirited beverage and a virtual check-in process. The lobby’s warm tones and mixed textures calm the senses aft er stepping off the city streets. Just to the left sits Reverence, the hotel’s signature restaurant, allowing views into the captivating open kitchen, where executive chef Ewart Wardhaugh’s team creates culinary magic.
Reverence’s seasonal menu features dishes such as King Trumpet oyster mushrooms with cherry confit, blue cheese, chocolate oil and truffle
Reverence marries Wardhaugh’s global experience with the best local ingredients Atlanta has to offer, resulting in fresh, innovative cuisine that excites with every bite. Originally from Scotland, Wardhaugh has since embarked on a world tour of culinary experience, including time at Raffles in Singapore and the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The chef now imbues appreciation for Georgia’s garden-fresh farmstead offerings into Reverence’s seasonal menu, featuring fresh seafood and heritage meats. The chef’s recommendation? “Everything,” says Wardhaugh. “Careful consideration went into perfecting each plate. If it wasn’t good, it wouldn’t be on the menu.”
No Reverence meal is complete without experiencing the impressive wine program. The carefully curated program consists of 136 bottles and 26 by-the-glass selections. The collection offers incredible local labels alongside renowned international choices, with an emphasis on single-vineyard pinot noirs. With Reverence’s stunning cellar, capable of holding well over 1,000 bottles, crowning the dining room, guests can admire the collection while dining. Also helmed by Wardhaugh, Epicurean Atlanta’s two other dining concepts, Aerial Kitchen & Bar and The Office Bar, offer delectable bites and incredible cocktails.
Reverence’s impressive wine program features both local and international labels
After a palatable meal at one of Epicurean Atlanta’s dining destinations, guests can make their way back to one of the 178 guest rooms. Designed by Atlanta-based architectural and interior design firm Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio, the hotel’s welcoming interiors are swanky and cosmopolitan. Design details pay homage to the Epicurean’s roots in wine throughout the property via features such as decanter-inspired lighting and custom accent walls repurposing wine crates. The guest rooms boast organic tones and textures alongside their unfettered cityscape views. Guests can also enjoy the ninth-floor Sky Terrace, home to Aerial Kitchen & Bar and a resort-style pool oasis, complete with temperature-controlled cabanas and butler service.
Guest rooms incorporate organic tones and textures for a relaxing ambiance.
Each guest room features stunning art
Perhaps the development’s most unique feature, the Epicurean Theatre truly harnesses the property’s dedication to seeking experiences that spark joy. The nearly 2,000-square-foot space boasts a show kitchen via a partnership with Sub-Zero and Wolf, presenting the opportunity to experience firsthand award-winning chefs, star mixologists and wine connoisseurs in their element. Guests can watch as professionals teach and demonstrate their crafts in the many immersive events the Epicurean Atlanta team will host. Between its incredible cuisine, captivating amenities and relaxing ambiance, perhaps the most difficult part of a stay at Atlanta’s newest addition is deciding what to do next. Indeed, even with all that Midtown has to offer, a staycation at Epicurean Atlanta will have you never wanting to step back onto the city streets just beyond. 1117 W.
