People,
Suit, custom; shirt, Thomas Mason; shoes, Sid Mashburn; pocket square, Kiton; watch, Omega; and sunglasses, Ray-Ban.
For Dr. David Pugh, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) vice president for giving, it’s important to always look his best. After all, SCAD students are some of the best dressed in Atlanta. The SCAD veteran of 10-plus years has held positions throughout the university, including a stint at the campus in fashion capital Hong Kong. As a result, his style is sophisticated, informed and global. Pugh counts meeting Tom Ford at a SCAD event as one of the main fashion highlights of his life—but who wouldn’t. You can find him on campus supporting the school’s myriad events, including aTVfest, SCAD Fashion Show and SCADFILM; or at home in Midtown.
The best style advice I ever got was don’t be afraid to mix patterns.
My earliest style memory is from when I was 5 years old, wearing a plaid jacket and a polka-dot tie at a Christmas pageant.
El-Gant on Piedmont is the best tailor in town.
Ferragamo is my favorite shoe designer.
