Tip: Order the spicy yellowfin tuna tartare with hass avocado, sweet chili, cucumber, red shiso and soy caviar—all served alongside taro chips.

It’s been well worth the wait: Le Colonial bows this month. Known for its gourmet Vietnamese cuisine with influences from France, the resto’s Chicago, Houston, New York City and San Francisco outposts are social hot spots—and ours at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta will surely be no different. The menu features staples like the delectable Bo Luc Lac shaking beef with Valverdi farm greens, caramelized filet mignon, sweet onions and watercress, as well as new, exciting additions by executive chef Hassan Obaye, and culinary director and Vietnamese cookbook author Nicole Routhier. The two restaurateurs responsible for bringing Le Colonial here are Rick Wahlstedt and Farshid Arshid, the masterminds behind Le Bilboquet and Umi, respectively. Says Wahlstedt, “I couldn’t be happier to introduce this very special and dramatic concept to Atlantans.”
