As the parents of three active boys, power couple Kristina Price, MD, and Colin Dircks, MD, keep a packed agenda of family vacations, sporting events and outings to local parks and museums.

When off the clock, OPAL Aesthetics (opalatlanta.com) medical director Kristina Price, MD, and her husband, Piedmont Fayette Hospital emergency physician Colin Dircks, MD, stay active with their three sons—Jackson (11), Greyson (9) and Austin (8). In addition to the kids’ rotation of soccer and football games and tennis and jiujitsu lessons, the East Cobb family loves exploring local parks, playing board games and unwinding with movie nights.

While the family often vacations together—Blue Ridge in the fall and skiing out West in places like Colorado and Utah each winter—each son gets what Price calls a “one-on-one mini adventure” with one parent to the destination of their choice every year. The tradition started when Dircks took their oldest son to a Formula One race in Austin, Texas, in 2016. Now, the other kids look forward to annual excursions, which have ranged from seeing Broadway musicals and skating in Rockefeller Plaza to go-karting and Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas. “We adore that special bonding time and creating lasting memories,” she continues. When back home, here are some of the family’s favorite places to explore and play.
