Phnewfula Frederiksen, the Atlanta-based owner of baby boutique Happy Mango, shares her must-haves for new moms.
“When I was pregnant, I really needed someone to walk me through the different stroller options, how to install a car seat, what bottles were great for breastfeeding babies, etc.,” shares Phnewfula Frederiksen, owner of brick-and-mortar baby boutique Happy Mango (shophappymango.com). Like most first-time moms, Frederiksen felt inundated by all the options on the market. “Eco products were barely even on shelves when I was shopping, so that was an issue in itself,” she continues. The experience of navigating shopping for her little one inspired Frederiksen to open a store of her own, and Happy Mango was born. After five years as an online storefront, Frederiksen opened her first brick-and-mortar, now followed by an upcoming expansion into 2,000 square feet of space at The Works. “Happy Mango’s new space at The Works promises to be the same amazing selection of items, just more of them!” Frederiksen says. Here, she shares a glimpse of what shoppers can expect to find.
“These monthly subscription boxes can be given as a gift or subscribed to for six or nine months. Each month, a reusable box comes to your doorstep with things relevant to your stage of pregnancy or postpartum.”
“Konges Sløjd is a cute European brand that we carry clothes and accessories from.”
“The Southern Alphabet Series is a celebration of Southern food through the alphabet. I created this line to pay homage to the food and culture I love so much.”
“The Silver Cross Wave is my favorite stroller. It comes with everything you need for two children right out of the box. That means when you have baby No. 2, you don’t have to purchase anything until the second child outgrows the car seat.”
“The Chief & The Cherry Blossom candles are hand-poured apricot and coconut wax candles with a crackling wick. They smell dreamy and are named after things pertaining to parenting.”
“The Nursery Works Luma crib is a rose gold and acrylic masterpiece that also turns into a toddler bed. It is beautiful for any nursery and can be used for at least five years!”
