Style & Beauty,

Although fashion week might appear glamorous on the outside (and some parts are!), we’re taught to never judge a book by its cover.

heyyy-0003.jpgThe most important week(s) in the industry are filled with incredibly long hours, sleepless nights, and lots of running from one end of the city to another. In Valentino pumps, may we add.

Simply put, fashion week is thrilling and exhausting all at the same time.

Lucky for you, we’ve connected with fashion mogul Samantha Brown, who knows a thing or two about how to survive and thrive during fashion week.

Brown is a world-renowned professional and celebrity stylist, who has left her mark on the industry for over a decade and counting.

Her styling credits include Nylon Magazine, Badgley Mischka, Fox, The NY Post, and her partnerships range from Vogue, to GQ, to Harper’s Bazaar.

Additionally, she has styled some of the biggest names in the industry, including Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, and Bill Murray.

Samantha stays immersed in the fashion industry as the Video Director for B Live, shooting New York Fashion Week shows including Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Narcisco Rodriguez, Oscar de la Renta, Proenza Schouler, and many more.

Karolina Zmarlak Reversible Cinch Belt

This belt can be layered with your wool coat, over a blazer, with an oversized button-down, or with a sheath dress or slacks. It’s the softest leather and a perfect accessory to pack and style with multiple outfits in multiple ways. Defining a waist is always flattering!

Chic de Chic Notebook

I always have a sleek notebook on hand to pen reminders, ideas, and inspiration from the shows. I prefer to jot something down on paper than have it get lost somewhere in my iPhone. You can buy this now at New York Vintage.

Mask and Mask Chain

There’s nothing more annoying than digging through a purse for a face mask. These stylish mask chains are lightweight and fashionable and double as a necklace when you clasp it without the mask on. As shows will likely require masks, why not make it part of the look?

Mutha Up All Night Eye Cream

Long days, excessive caffeine, and champagne can wreak havoc on our beauty routines. This eye cream instantly brightens and de-puffs, making it seem like you got all the shut-eye you needed.

Silk Eye Mask

If you’re headed to the international shows, this is a must for your carry-on. Get some much-needed sleep with a silk eye mask that won’t leave creases on your face and actually helps your products (like the Mutha eye cream) absorb into your skin.

Cashmere Travel Wrap

Temperatures are unpredictable this time of year, so I love having a cashmere travel wrap that can double as a scarf, cozy shawl on airplanes, and be worn over the shoulders to post-show dinners.

Denim, but in a fresh silhouette

Fashion week, and dressing in general, is more casual than it used to be. I love this modern Jean paired back to a turtleneck and blazer or dressed down with a chunky knit and booties.

Hair Accessories

Skip the styling as the week progresses and opt for some dry shampoo for texture and tie your hair back into an oversized bow.

Supplements to boost immunity

This vitamin D supplement is so easy to take on the go. I used to get sick after every fashion week, so now I’m all over the supplements to boost immunity in advance!

Tote for the airplane and all these essentials

A big carryall is essential during Fashion Week. I stock mine with all these items, plus bottled water and healthy snacks so I’m never in a bind between shows. Other items to include are a phone charger, a chic pair of sunglasses, leather gloves if it’s cold out, and a bold lip color.
