For the waiting area of The Spa at NAPS, interior designer Lizzie Wilkinson sourced artwork, furniture and accents from her self-owned Direct Design Solutions.
The clean, fresh and timeless ambiance you’d encounter in a French boutique, apartment or resto—a nod to their annual Paris girls’ trips—is precisely the inspiration the founding doctors of North Atlanta Plastic Surgery and The Spa at NAPS used for their new Avalon surgical center that doubles as a spa space. Manifesting this vision into reality was local interior designer Lizzie Wilkinson, owner of Direct Design Solutions, who dream team Amy Alderman, MD, MPH, FACS, and Aida Joiner, MD, tapped for her dual expertise in residential and commercial design. “We tried to create the [Parisian] feel with interesting lighting and artwork, as well as texture,” says Joiner. “Because Dr. Alderman specializes in breast and body, many of our pieces highlight the female body.” To top it all off? Alderman says, “We rounded out the new space with a state-of-the- art surgery suite and a beautiful medical spa where we offer all the latest nonsurgical techniques for maintaining that youthful look.” 3180 N.
