It’s easier than ever to eat and drink clean thanks to Bar Vegan, a hip vegan cocktail bar and full-service restaurant focused on exotic and exciting curated drink presentations. Located on the second floor of Ponce City Market’s Central Food Hall, the resto’s menu, decor and presentation all create an effortless experience designed to tantalize the senses. Founder and CEO Pinky Cole created the concept, calling it “bar theatre,” after envisioning “a collaborative form of performing mixology that uses experiences, fun and flair.” The experience begins upon entrance with multiple focal walls and unique design elements—think geometric prints and neon lights. The trendy decor is a perfect backdrop to any one of the specialty cocktails that are crafted tableside and often served in unusual drinkware, such as fire extinguishers, Ferris wheels and bank safes, and complete with musical sound bites. We’re loving the Atlanta Fire & Rescue made with Tanteo jalapeño tequila; agave; and a mix of organic, freshly squeezed lime, orange and olive juices; while adventurous souls praise the Foreign Fruit Punch served in an active smoky volcano. For those who prefer the classics, fear not! The hot spot also serves adapted versions of everyone’s faves: margaritas, cosmos, Old-Fashioneds and martinis, to name a few. Nondrinkers can rest easy too: A Shaken Not Slurred mocktail menu is also available. As you sip the night away, be sure to sample some of the savory vegan bites Cole and popular restaurateur Derrick Hayes have curated: Philly cheesesteaks made with Impossible meat, quesadillas, egg rolls, tater tots and more. 675 Ponce De Leon Ave., Ste. 215, 404.660.6122, barveganatl.com
