June 2022 is here and that means Pride Month celebrations are happening absolutely everywhere in Atlanta. With beautiful weather, fun events, live performers, and nonjudgemental vibes gather your crew to check out Atlanta’s best pride events.

Piedmont Park / Website
Date: Sunday, June 5. 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Run (or walk) for a good cause this Pride Month! The race kicks off at Piedmont Park and invites the whole community to take part as a way to promote awareness of the LGBTQ+ community in Atlanta. This family-friendly event is open to dogs. Tickets are required and can be purchased here.
Georgia Aquarium / Website
Date: Sunday, June 12. 6 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
Celebrate Black pride with the Georgia Aquarium at this exclusive event. Guests are invited to tour the aquarium for about two hours, then party the night away in the Oceans Ballroom. There will be live entertainment from DJ Jash Jay, DJ Mary Mac and Atlanta’s own CoCo Iman Starr. Hit up the cash bar with your friends and experience the aquarium at night like never before. Date: Monday, June 13. 7 p.m.
Enjoy a night at the opera and support Lucia Lucas, the first openly trans woman to headline an opera in the United States. The Sound Of Identity explores Lucas’ journey as a trans musician through a documentary. In the Atlanta Opera’s production of As One, Lucas plays the character Hannah. This is a fabulous event to enjoy with queer friends or friends outside the LGBTQ+ community who want to learn more. Tickets can be purchased here.

Enjoy a night of baseball as the Atlanta Braves take on the San Francisco Giants. Guests who order the pride ticket package will have access to the pregame pride party at the Coca-Cola Roxy from 5:20 p.m. to 7:20 p.m., and each guest will receive a pride edition Braves 20-ounce insulated cup. A portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to Lost-N-Found and their work with Atlanta’s homeless population. Tickets can be purchased here.

Date: Thursday, June 23 - Sunday, June 26. 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Head to this four-day festival to soak in all the joy and community of Pride Month. From pageants, to dance parties, to variety shows, to an artisan market and pop-up thrift shop, there’s so much to explore at this welcoming festival. The festival is completely free but donations are highly encouraged to help fund next year’s event. This is a festival you won’t want to miss!

Enjoy a night of WNBA basketball with the Atlanta Dream. With high-energy plays and a fun vibe, it’s a great excuse to attend a Dream game. A portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to Lost-N-Found and their work with Atlanta’s homeless population. Tickets can be purchased here.

Date: Saturday, June 25. 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Calling all fashion lovers! Explore fashion creations from local queer designers at Q&A Fabric Studio. The event aims to blur the lines between gender norms and express just how crucial fashion is to personal identity as interpreted by late fashion legend Andre Leon Talley. Be sure to dress in colorful attire to celebrate the queer community. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to LGBTQ+ nonprofits. Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased here.

While not until October, Atlanta’s grandest city-wide parade is one to mark your calendars for. There will be a live music-filled festival, rows of vendors and a memorable parade display. More details will be announced as the date approaches, so keep up with their Instagram to stay in the loop.
