A taste of Naples, Italy has come to the lively Westside. Bastone, a mozzarella bar, joins sister restaurants Grana and White Bull as the third installment of chef-owner Pat Pascarella’s Italian trio. The mozzarella-infused menu is highlighted by handmade pasta, rare Italian wines and craft beer. Dishes draw inspiration from Naples while the ingredients are locally sourced to create a shareable experience for all. 887 Howell Mill Road NW, bastoneatlanta.com

Situated in the heart of downtown Alpharetta, brand-new rooftop restaurant and bar UP on the Roof is open and ready for business. Set to the backdrop of panoramic views of Kennesaw Mountain, this cocktail-centric eatery presents an exciting bar and craft beverage program featuring a repertoire of signature bottle cocktails and high-rise handcrafted cocktails. To pair, executive chef Max Tezza had created a shareable menu full of classic Southern dishes with an elevated twist—all made with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Is that winter chill still in the air? Not to worry: UP on the Roof offers lively traditional indoor dining as well as state-of-the-art heaters and fireplaces for those seeking a view prior to spring. Says COO Kirk Watkins, “Whether you just want to drop in for an early evening drink, want to make a full night out of it or are looking for a place to enjoy a nightcap under the stars, UP is the perfect spot.” 33 S.
