Atlanta’s “it” couple wed in a showstopping ceremony.

Chris Carlos, philanthropist and partner at RNDC, and Sabrina Weinstein first met at a Taste of the Nation gala in Atlanta, Georgia. However, it wouldn’t be until a few years later, in April 2021, that Chris and Sabrina would go on their first date: dinner at Pricci. That night went so well (they spent five hours engulfed in conversation) that it was followed up with their second-, third-, and fourth-date consecutive days in a row.

The two quickly became inseparable and solidified themselves as Atlanta’s It couple with their attractive looks, glamorous lifestyle, and adoration for one another. “We both just fell very hard for each other, very fast,” says Sabrina. Over the next year and a half, Sabrina and Chris’ love only grew deeper the more time they spent together—attending charity galas, traveling the world via private jet, and enjoying quality time with little Michael.

During Sabrina’s first trip to Paris, in October 2022, Chris took the blonde beauty on a romantic private cruise on the Seine River. The two nibbled on madeleines, sipped rosé and snuggled as they took in the City of Love’s sights that chilly fall afternoon. As soon as they were in front of the Eiffel Tower, Chris got down on one knee, presented Sabrina with a stunning diamond ring, and said, “You’re the only woman I have ever truly loved, my best friend. Would you marry me and be my wife for the rest of my life?” A tearful Sabrina immediately said yes, before kissing and embracing her fiancé.

The couple, who split the year between their posh residences in Buckhead, Atlanta and Bal Harbour, Miami, envisioned a wedding that was classy, dramatic, romantic, and showstopping – a wedding that personified them. The St. Regis Atlanta was the obvious choice for their venue as it is Atlanta’s most iconic hotel as well as the milieu where myriad memories—date nights, events, staycations—were made while they were dating and a place the two would return to over and over again.

On March 2, 2024, Sabrina and Chris said “I do” to one another in one of the most exquisite ceremonies the Buckhead hotel has ever seen. Thousands of gorgeous white hydrangeas, orchids, tulips and roses cascaded down from massive chandeliers, and adorned the tables and stage to create a heavenly backdrop for the momentous occasion. “Lindsey and her team at Toast were incredibly efficient, professional, and imaginative. Lindsey would listen to one idea we had and was able to bring it to life in the most perfect way,” Sabrina boasts about their wedding planner.

The formal affair had guests dressed in black, while the chic bride and groom wore white. Sabrina was a vision in her three white custom Galia Lahav dresses: the ceremony dress was a lace gown with sheer and lace paneling on the hips and back and a long train; the second, worn the majority of the reception, was a drop waist, bustier dress with sparkly beading and lace straps; and the third, worn the end of the night, was a satin mini dress with dramatic detachable sleeves attached to a long cape train. The groom was outfitted in a white tux and custom black and white sneakers, featuring his logo, by The Shoe Surgeon. “If you know Chris, you know he only wears sneakers,” she notes, “no dress shoes.”

Chris’ favorite part of the ceremony was seeing his bride for the first time walk down the aisle. “I had tears in my eyes because of how beautiful she looked—like a goddess,” he says. “She was, and will forever be, the most beautiful bride in history.” For Sabrina, it was the exchanging of their vows that she cherished the most. “Chris’ vows were so beautiful and thoughtful. I loved getting to say my vows to him and to our son in front of our friends, family, and God,” she says. “It felt so powerful and beautiful, like our souls were becoming one as we were making our promises to each other.”

A fête fit for royalty, the vibrant reception had guests dancing to a live band and feasting on an elevated version of the couple’s favored dishes: crab cakes, tuna tartare, burrata and heirloom tomato salad, pan-seared Chilean sea bass with a port wine butter sauce, and a truffle-stuffed chicken with a truffle honey glaze. Five, white tiers of decadent vanilla chiffon cake with Grand Marnier syrup, Bavarian cream, raspberry jam, and fresh strawberries sated guests’ sweet tooth.

Mr. and Mrs. Carlos’ first dance was an absolute dream, and their fondest memory from the reception. While these lovebirds randomly slow dance throughout their day, Sabrina, who claims to not be the best dancer, is nervous about dancing in front of an audience. However, Sabrina instantly relaxed in Chris’ loving gaze and the comfort of being in his arms as they swayed to “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra. “It felt as comfortable and easy as ever. I had just married my best friend, and now, we were slow dancing to our song.”

The magical evening closed out with Chris’ friend, Grammy Award-winning artist, Nelly, performing as guests sang along and danced the night away. “It was the perfect ending to the party. Nelly really kept the amazing vibes from the night going and turned our reception into a concert. It was very us!” says Sabrina. While the jet-setting couple hasn’t planned a honeymoon yet, you can trust that it will be just as romantic and extravagant as their nuptials. “Chris and I joke that every day feels like a honeymoon,” she beams.
