Celebrating the work of two internationally renowned fashion industry luminaries, SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film debuts two new mesmerizing exhibitions for fashion photographer Robert Fairer and fashion designer Robert Wun.

Legendary British fashion photographer Robert Fairer unveiled his extensive archives for the first solo exhibition of his work, Backstage Pass: Dior, Galliano, Jacobs and McQueen. The exhibition features more than 100 stunning, high- energy, backstage photographs from the most iconic runway shows and collections by the house of Dior, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs, and Alexander McQueen during what is considered the “Golden Age of Fashion,” an era of artistic zenith in runway show production from the late 1990s to early 2010s. Both a visual and aural experience, Backstage Pass offers an intimate look at the rarified world of backstage photography - before the dawn of social media - and a captivating record of a bygone era. The exhibition presents Fairer’s evocative candid shots of supermodels Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen, Shalom Harlow, Alek Wek, Mariacarla Boscano, and more. “Robert Fairer is one of the most foremost photographers of our time, and it is an honor to celebrate his unique eye, style, and point of view captured from a rare vantage point in fashion history,” remarked Rafael Gomes, curator and director of fashion exhibitions at SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film.

Between Reality and Fantasy, showcases the work of London-based fashion designer Robert Wun, featuring over 40 elaborate garments from the young designer’s runway presentations, archive and celebrity commissions. Since launching his eponymous label in 2014, Hong Kong-born Wun has become a rising star in the fashion world receiving global acclaim for his avant-garde creations and garments with striking silhouettes, technical precision and exacting proportions. His collections have been championed by style icons known for making bold statements such as Lady Gaga, Lizzo, Naomi Campbell, Alicia Keys, Solange Knowles, Cardi B, and Charli XCX. Between Reality and Fantasy highlights Wun’s impressive roster of celebrity clientele including looks worn by Billy Porter, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Tessa Thompson, Doja Cat, Issa Rae, as well as Chinese actress, model, and singer Fan Bingbing. Said the designer, “To share my journey in fashion design, presenting my archives from the very beginning of my career to the latest collections, together in one space, is a dream come true. Witnessing the timeline of my growth as a designer is an honor.”
