“As a child, the superpower I wished to have was the ability to take away pain,” remembers Atlanta’s own Dr. Tannaz Modaresi. “From time to time, my dad would ask me to walk on his back—the maneuver seemed to reduce his back pain. When I came to the United States, I was introduced to the field of chiropractics and realized this was the dream profession I was looking for.”
Dr. Modaresi’s childhood superpower dream became her life-long passion, as she went on to receive her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2010, and opened her own practice, Injury & Wellness Specialists of Georgia, that’s become a staple in Atlanta. “Women bring a different perspective and passion to the medical field and health care, which is needed for optimal care of our diverse population,” she says. “I believe every woman can be as successful as a man in any field they
choose.”
The Dynamic Woman has a lot of success to celebrate this year too: “I am thrilled about our grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new location of Injury & Wellness Specialists of Georgia in Alpharetta. This marks our second top-notch practice with high-end equipments and knowledgeable staff and doctors to serve my wonderful community. We are also celebrating my first practice’s eighth anniversary of helping and leading north Atlanta community to a pain free life.”
When she’s not working with patients, Atlantans can spot Dr. Modaresi spending time with her husband and 11-year-old twins, traveling, playing basketball, or partaking in her newest hobby: playing tennis.
