As the owner of new Atlanta-based Intown Salt Room, Carrie Wright is reversing the stigma against salt as bad for the body.

What’s the most important thing you do to keep your well-being in check? I practice mindfulness daily, reflecting on the here and now.

Salt is usually thought of as something bad. How has salt changed your life for the better? Relaxing in Himalayan salt rooms and incorporating dry salt therapy helps me manage my stress, improve my respiratory health and become a calmer person.

What’s something you want Atlantans to know about the benefits of Himalayan pink salt? You can use it in the same way that you would use table salt. It can also help soothe sore muscles and improve skin by using it in a salt bath.

A misconception about salt rooms? Salt rooms use a Halogenerator with pure pharmaceutical-grade salt to produce the mist that you breathe in for dry salt therapy. It’s natural, safe and beneficial for respiratory and skin health, including allergies, sinus issues, eczema and acne.

One thing we can all do to increase our well-being? Laugh more!
