Go Red for Women Luncheon

| August 3, 2018 | Parties National

Guests donned vibrant hues to show support for the annual Go Red for Women Luncheon. The Whitley’s spacious ballroom was dripping in red decor in honor of the American Heart Association, with shimmering gray linens brightening up the room even more for the evening ahead. An expert panel of women from Piedmont Heart Institute (the director of Women’s Heart Program at Piedmont Hospital, Dr. Jyoti Sharma; certified health & wellness coach coordinator Lauren Fyock, RN; and heart attack survivor Lyn Brown) took to the stage to talk women’s heart health—even sharing their personal experiences. The night’s guest list included notable names such as Candace Byrd, Stacy Cole, Beverly Kelly, Annette Marshall, Monica Pearson, chair Beth Reese, Sylvia Russell, Theia Washington Smith and Libby Wright.Arguably one of the most memorable moments of the night, Ella Collier, an 18-year-old heart attack survivor, moved guests with her own rendition of the iconic song “Hallelujah” while the audience honored heart disease and stroke survivors. –Rachel Madray
