Make-A-Wish Georgia’s Wish Ball passed the million-dollar mark.
THE PARTY Guests brought their best fundraising game to this year’s Wish Ball held inside the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta. Numbers soared via generous donations, while the ballroom—adorned in hues of crisp white and Make-A-Wish Georgia’s signature blue, thanks to Andy Beach & Co.—housed the well-heeled Atlantans, who toasted and celebrated all while making children’s wishes come true. THE GUESTS Wish Ball chair Tammy Farley; Patron chairs Mary Nunnally and Elizabeth Hamilton; emcee Evan “Raynday” Raynr. THE HIGHLIGHTS The evening raised an astounding $1,020,000, all of which goes toward granting the 850 pending wishes in Georgia. Says the night’s honoree, Dr. Karen Wasilewski-Masker, during a moving speech on the power and importance of wishes: “Research shows, and physicians agree, wishes can help improve a child’s quality of life and create better health outcomes.” -Annie Cohen
