Crystal Ball 2018

| December 3, 2018 | Parties

There was not a moment of downtime at this year’s Crystal Ball, held by the Arthritis Foundation.

THE PARTY The Whitley was packed with Atlanta’s finest philanthropists for the 37th annual affair that was full of knockout support for the fight against arthritis. Proceeds from the evening went directly to Georgians suffering from arthritis, and Camp AcheAway, a weeklong camp that provides a tailored getaway for children suffering from the pain of arthritis. THE GUESTS Honoree Gordon Ford, Georgia State Rep. Dr. Betty Price and Dr. Tom Price, ball chairs Dr. Bob and Carmen Titelman. THE HIGHLIGHTS Tony Brewer & Company brought the evening’s The Enchanted Empire theme to life with elegant floral arrangements of white and gold, and mesmerizing gold candle centerpieces. Entertainment was not lacking, either, with a Turkish belly dancer to kick off the reception, plus a formal dinner and live and silent auctions. To get guests moving, actor and singer Ana Villafañe opened the dance floor with a rendition of “Get On Your Feet” after sharing her story of growing up with rheumatoid arthritis. -Ali Reynolds
