The 31st anniversary celebration of Atlanta’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry raised enough to help feed children in need more than nine million healthy meals. Over 1,500 guests gathered at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center on Thursday, April 18th, for a special evening featuring gourmet samplings from more than 55 of Atlanta’s most celebrated chefs, as well as live, silent and beverage auctions, wine tastings and a variety of live entertainment including living statues, dueling pianos and harpist.
For more than 30 years, Atlanta’s Taste of the Nation has featured culinary creations by the city’s most celebrated and generous chefs, sommeliers, and mixologists, united to ensure all children in America have access to the nutritious meals they need, every day. One-hundred percent of proceeds support the No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in America. Leading this year’s event were founding chairman Pano Karatassos, founder and CEO of the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, and co-chairman George McKerrow, President and CEO of Ted’s Montana Grill. The evening was hosted by Honorary Chef Günter Seeger, Award-Winning Chef of Michelin-Starred Günter Seeger NY, and Honorary Chairs Chantal and Tommy Bagwell.
“It was a record-breaking evening for No Kid Hungry, and it would not have been possible without the overwhelming support of our community,” said Founding Event Chairman and Founder and CEO of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, Pano Karatassos. “It is always humbling to watch our city come together to end childhood hunger, and this year was no exception.”
